Another Perfect Call

First it was the April 21, 2019, perfect phone call when President Trump tried to blackmail the president of Ukraine into investigating bogus claims against then, candidate Joe Biden and his son, Hunter. The call resulted in Trump’s impeachment.

Now we have another perfect call, this time on Saturday from the soon-not-to-be president threatening Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger if he didn’t overturn the results of the November because of widespread voter fraud that nobody but Trump and his lackeys claim exists. That’s enough to put Trump in the record books for dishonesty and shame again, this time as the first president to be impeached twice.

And these are just the knowable perfect calls; what about the unknowable ones, of which we may never know about because they may just be unknowable unknowables, thank you Donald Rumsfeld.

Trump’s call to Raffensperger was taped and a transcript along with the audio tape was leaked to the Washington Post. Sen. David Perdue, R-Ga., who is running for reelection to the crucial senate seat and claims the election was rife with fraud and is willing to do anything Trump wants, was indignant and self-righteously ripped Raffensberger for leaking the call, according to the unbiased GOP media representative, Fox News.

It seems that much of Trump’s latest bogus claims are based on a video of election workers tabulating returns from the November election at the State Farm arena in Atlanta, Ga., in which Trump and his sycophantic enablers claim that votes for Biden were tabulated multiple times.

Don’t take my word for it. There are so many ways to get the unvarnished truth as quoted by Trump and here a few.

Go to a site called epochtimes.com, a far-right international multi-language newspaper and media company affiliated with the Falun Gong new religious movement, based in the United States. The newspaper is part of the Epoch Media Group, which also operates New Tang Dynasty (NTD) Television. The Epoch Times has websites in 35 countries but is blocked in mainland China.

If that’s not enough, get the facts at the candaceowensfans.com website. Owens, an African American, is a solid Trump fan, who has seethed with criticism over the Black Lives Matter movement and the Democratic Party. Owens also was the communications director for Turning Point USA, a right-leaning organization aimed at educating college students about “free markets and limited government” until she resigned in May 2019 following controversial comments she made in February about Adolf Hitler.

Speaking at a London event Owens said that Hitler was an “OK” leader until he tried to take his message of genocide global.

“If Hitler just wanted to make Germany great and have things run well, OK fine,” she said in response to a question about nationalism. “The problem is he had dreams outside of Germany. He wanted to globalize … he wanted everyone to be German.”

The website with the ominous address of kingtrumpforever.com is another place that has been playing up the dastardly anti-Trump deeds at the State Farm arena. And then there is that bastion of truthfulness and lunacy, he with the dripping hair dye, Rudy Giuliani, who has a podcast that he calls “Common Sense” in which he also rails against the obvious and massive voter fraud that has been rejected in every investigation.

In case you didn’t read the ranting transcript, here are some of Trump’s greater moments:

* “It’s just not possible to have lost Georgia. It’s not possible. I won this election by hundreds of thousands of votes. There’s no way I lost Georgia. There’s no way. We won by hundreds of thousands of votes. “

To which Raffensperger responded, “Well, Mr. President, the challenge that you have is the data you have is wrong.” The specific data that Raffensperger was referring to was Trump’s claim that as many as 5,000 dead people voted but the state investigation showed that a grand total of two people voted who were dead.

· “They were stuffed like nobody’s ever seen them stuffed before,” Trump said in reference to ballot boxes in the State Farm video.

To which Raffensperger responded, “You’re talking about the State Farm video. And I think it’s extremely unfortunate that Rudy Giuliani or his people, they sliced and diced that video and took it out of context. So the next day, we brought in WSB-TV, and we let them show, see the full run of tape, and what you’ll see, the events that transpired are nowhere near what was, what was projected.”

· “Well, there’s no way they could — then they’re incompetent. They’re either dishonest or incompetent, OK?”

Trump was responding to Ryan Germany, the lawyer for the Georgia secretary of state, who told Trump that the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and the FBI had checked out and debunked the claims of fraud.

· “It doesn’t pass the smell test, because we hear they’re shredding thousands and thousands of ballots, and now what they’re saying, ‘Oh, we’re just cleaning up the office.’ Yeah.”

Trump was back on his claim that many ballots were shredded at the Atlanta voting center, with the retort from Raffensperger, “Mr. President, the problem you have with social media, they — people can say anything. We believe that we do have an accurate election.”

That brought a retort from Trump, “No, no you don’t. No, no you don’t. You don’t have, you don’t have. Not even close. You’re off by hundreds of thousands of votes. And they’re going around playing you and laughing at you behind your back, Brad, whether you know it or not, they’re laughing at you, and you’ve taken a state that’s a Republican state, and you’ve made it almost impossible for a Republican to win because of cheating, because they cheated like nobody’s ever cheated before. And I don’t care how long it takes me, you know, we’re going to have other states coming forward — pretty good.”

Trump made a not so veiled threat if Raffensperger didn’t admit there was massive voting fraud and if he didn’t validate at least 11,780 votes, the total that Trump lost by in Georgia.

· “And you’re going to find that they are — which is totally illegal, it is more illegal for you than it is for them, because you know what they did, and you’re not reporting it. That’s a criminal, that’s a criminal offense. And you can’t let that happen. And that’s a big risk. But they are shredding ballots, in my opinion, based on what I’ve heard. And they are removing machinery, and they’re moving it as fast as they can, both of which are criminal finds. And you can’t let it happen, and you are letting it happen. You know, I mean, I’m notifying you that you’re letting it happen. So look. All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have because we won the state.”

Sounds like a threat to me.
