Boebert Et Al Dealing With Critical Issues Like ‘Tuck Friendly’ swimsuits

I have one word for Lauren Boebert, Bri Teresi, Kid Rock, Ron DeSantis, Rita Panahi, Matt Walsh, Chrissie Mayr, Megyn Kelly, Tomi Lahren, Oli London and others too numerous to mention.
Get a life. OK, that was three words, sorry.
The aforementioned guardians of all that is right and good are on a new kick, as they join in a chorus to boycott Target stores for selling “tuck friendly” swimsuits.
One of the loudest mouths in the ongoing clown parade, as usual, is Rep. Lauren Boebert, R-Colo., the champion of Christian family life who is divorcing her husband of 18 years because of “irreconcilable differences” while she denies strongly and loudly that she is having an affair with MAGA, trumper and Christian nationalist strummer, Sean Feucht.
To be fair, Boebert isn’t the only devout Christian member of congress to divorce, as the 28-year marriage of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., ended when her husband dumped her this year because the relationship was “irretrievably broken.” Taylor Greene also has repeatedly denied claims that she had an affair with the polyamorous tantric sex guru, manager at her gym.
So what is the latest big fuss? Of course, it’s about transgender people, specifically the sale of “tuck friendly” swimsuits at Target stores. Target has long been a friend of the LGBTQ community, supporting diversity and inclusion and offering bathrooms for people’s gender of choice. Tuck-friendly clothes allow trans women who have not had a gender-affirming operation to conceal their private parts with “extra crotch coverage.”
In 2016, after the passage of the controversial “bathroom bill” in North Carolina, Target released a statement confirming a new policy about transgender customers and bathrooms.
“Inclusivity is a core belief at Target. It’s something we celebrate. We stand for equality and equity, and strive to make our guests and team members feel accepted, respected and welcomed in our stores and workplaces every day,” the statement said.
The swimsuits, part of the company’s Pride Collection, are described by the Minneapolis-based company as “thoughtfully fit on multiple body types and gender expressions.
The item has become a fiery controversy, filled largely with misinformation, as many on social media falsely claimed the swimsuits were aimed at kids or were available in kids’ sizes. Target, the seventh largest retailer in the United States, said in a statement that kids’ swimsuits in the Pride collection did not include the “tuck-friendly” label.
Still, tuck-friendly bathing suits are the latest, last straw for Boebert et al, who continue to scream for an ongoing boycott against Budd Light beer for offering a paid sponsorship deal to trans activist and social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney. Bud Light commemorated Mulvaney with a collectible beer can with her face on it to herald her 365 days of her living as a woman. Mulvaney’s “Days of Girlhood” video series, which charts her first year of transitioning, has been a huge success.
Boebert and the others are now asking the public to get on the boycott bandwagon against Target’s 1,948 stores.
“Why support woke corporations that hate you?” Boebert tweeted on Monday. “Target won’t be getting another dollar from me.”
Boebert has been a consistent opponent of LGBT rights. She has pressed for limits on trans rights and trans youth access to gender-affirming health care and gendered bathrooms. Boebert has supported bills to withhold federal funds for research related to medical transition for minors and she has raised her voice against LGBT-friendly events such as Drag Story Hour, a reading event where a drag artist reads books to children.
The boycott of Bud Light has gone beyond rhetoric as a bomb squad was recently dispatched to an Anheuser-Busch facility in Los Angeles following a threatening email. An employee with the company said other threats were made to facilities across the U.S.
The right wing avalanche of opposition to anything trans has spread across the oceans to Australia where conservative news personality Rita Panahi had a three-minute anti-trans rant on her show broadcast by Sky News Australia. The parent company, Newscorp Australia, is a subsidiary of Newscorp, owned by Fox News co-founder Rupert Murdoch.
A video of Panahi’s tirade has garnered more than 80,000 views since it was uploaded to the micro-blogging platform on Monday. Panahi said that Bud Light has “learned the hard way that the adage ‘go woke, go broke’ isn’t just a cute line, but can become a brutal economic reality.”
Panahi warned Australian corporations “who think their political activism… will not lead to backlash [after] insulting, or even just annoying, a significant portion of your market is a foolhardy exercise indeed.”
Bri Teresi, a popular model, took a nod from Kid Rock when she posted a video of her using an assault rifle to explode bottles of Bud Light. A few weeks ago, Robert James Ritchie, aka Kid Rock, the self-proclaimed “King of White Trash” and staunch trumper, went viral with his video showing him blasting away at Bud Light bottles.
Wearing an American-flag bikini top with denim shorts, Teresi shot the bottles and then faced the camera, saying, “Go woke, go broke.” Teresi’s video shows her taking aim at a range of products that included Bud Light cans, tampons, bras, and paint-filled balloons. The video has been viewed more than 6 million times.
A Guess jeans model, Teresi’s fame skyrocketed in June when she did a photoshoot on a golf course, while wearing black, thigh-high boots, revealing tiny shorts and a crop top.
“I’m shooting at Honey Birdette lingerie, Tampax tampons & Budlight,” she tweeted. “These companies have all gone woke! Tampax tampons used a biological male to promote their tampons. Honey Birdette used a biological male to model their lingerie. & y’all know about Bud Light.”
Tampax is getting blamed for drafting Mulvaney as a spokesperson. The company says it hasn’t drafted Mulvaney for anything.
The high end lingerie firm, Honey Birdette, caught Teresi’s ire for an ad campaign showing nonbinary model Jake DuPree clad in a red bra and panties and matching stockings and garter.
Teresi said the company’s partnership with DuPree was “pure misogyny.” Honey Birdette, however, was unfazed.
“Since inception, Honey Birdette has always supported the LGBTQ+ community and empowering women, and we disagree with anyone attacking our inclusive values,” said a Honey Birdette statement.
DuPree is a non-binary burlesque dancer who performs around the world wearing only sexy undergarments. The ad campaign follows Nike’s decision to feature Mulvaney as a model in an ad for a sports bra and leggings.
“With so much hatred and vitriol toward trans and nonbinary people, it’s important to not only be visible and proud but also fight for our safety and lives. Every trans and gender non-conforming person has the right to live to the fullest and be happy! We deserve to be recognized, respected, and valued,” DuPree posted.
Stand-up comedian Chrissie Mayr tweeted that “Thanks to @Target I found the perfect swimsuit for creeping out all the women and children at the pool this summer. Can’t wait to tuck my c*** into this little number while sipping a Bud Light!”
Broadcaster Megyn Kelly tweeted that “No woman needs to tuck anything. We have vaginas & we are the only ones who do. Oh and we don’t need our kids seeing this sh&% when we walk down the aisle at Target.”
Another broadcaster, Tomi Lahren, said “Target has gone full woke and it’s repugnant.” Right wing personality Candace Owens tweeted “There has never been a company that has been more pro-transgenderism than Target. Shop anywhere else.”
Conservative commentator Steven Crowder posted a clip to his 2 million followers in which he called Target’s “tuck-friendly” bathing suits a “bulge-hiding bathing suit for a child.”
Oli London, author of “Gender Madness,” said on Fox News that “Only 0.6 percent of the population identify as trans so why is Target pushing these swimwear costumes with ‘tuck friendly’ designs and selling them in prime locations in their stores? The majority of men and Target customers do not want to ‘tuck’ their penis into a women’s swimming costume. I’m sure most men would find this uncomfortable and emasculating to say the very least.”
London is known for his multiple ethnic plastic surgery procedures intended to make him look like Jimin, a member of the South Korean boy band BTS.
A British actor, author and Internet personality, London came out as non-binary during the Pride Month of 2021. In mid-2022, he said he was a genderfluid trans woman and announced plans to get further surgeries to look like Blackpink member Rosé. In October 2022, he announced he was detransitioning, because he wanted to “go back to being [his] original self — a biological man.”
At the time of his detransition in October 2022, he had undergone 32 surgeries, including six nose jobs, an eye surgery, a facelift, a brow lift, a temple lift, a teeth procedure and skin whitening injections.
