I Am Done

I am sick and tired of writing every day about either Trump or COVID-19.

I am through with this obsession. I feel I can finally let it go and move on to more important things in my life. So this is the last time I will reference either.

I’m so mad because in the midst of a world COVID-19 pandemic Trump is not hunkering down to fight the virus. Instead, he has been busy spreading another of his conspiratorial fantasies as he tries to smear President Obama. He’s calling it “Obamagate” and he promised it’s the biggest scandal ever and he will produce evidence soon.

I assume the evidence will be in a suitcase that also will include Trump’s long promised tax returns and the proof that Obama was born in Kenya. He should pay more attention to people dying of COVID-19.

There, that’s it, no more about Trump.

Except this: I can’t stand the man. He’s an elitist, carnival barker con man, liar, totally incapable of showing empathy, totally devoid of humor and so self-absorbed as to make him a laughing stock of the world. And he’s dumber than a door knob. And I hope he has hemorroids. He also has small hands and a huge butt. As for the hair, oy.

There, that’s it, I’m done, no more about Trump. His name will not pass my lips ever again. He will forever be he who cannot be named.

Except one more thing:

I’m moving to Slovenia, the first country to declare the pandemic over. Where is Slovenia? What is Slovenia? Why is Slovenia?

What does Slovenia have to do with Trump? I’ll tell you what it has to do with Trump. You really want to know what it has to do with Trump? Here it is. Ready. Slovenia is the first country to declare the pandemic over. Trump doesn’t believe there ever was a pandemic.

So now where do I go from here now that I no longer have Trump or COVID-19 on my mind?

There was the dinner I had last night. And my neighbor’s dog once again tried to eat me. And I slept well and look forward to drinking beer tonight. Fascinating stuff. Wake up.

Sorry to say but nothing can top the way I feel about you know who. I can’t stand that he is representing the country and I am mad as hell that he puts that smug, smirky puss on TV and pretends to speak to the nation. It has shattered my faith in the Democratic system that a person can be elected who contradicts every notion of what it means to be an American.

And he is leading us to a defeat that the country may never be able to bounce back. He is leaving a wake of destruction and scorched earth. It will be years before normalcy is back and it will be one tough job for the next president. The only MAGA days were those just before the overweight man was elected.

There are so many bright, well-intended people in the country but they are drowned out by the would-be, second-rate Il Duce and his band of merry followers. If he would just step aside and let the good people do their work, things could work out.

But he won’t step aside. That is because he is delusional about his popularity and believes that he can mesmerize enough people to get re-elected.

If that happens, I will give up and move to Slovenia.

I said I wouldn’t utter his name again and I didn’t.
