Look Out Because GOP Dystopia Is Just Around The Corner

During his four miserable years as president, trump lied about global warming, COVID-19, Ukraine, Russia, China, bone spurs, his inauguration attendance, Mexico paying for his wall and his loss in the 2020 election, part of a total of more than 30,000 false or misleading claims during his presidency, according to the Washington Post Fact Checker team.
Mark T. Esper was the U.S. Secretary of Defense from 2019 to 2020. He was appointed by trump so that is a negative mark. Then Esper was fired in 2020 by trump, so that’s a positive. Esper is a West Point graduate, Gulf War airborne veteran, honored with the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, and the Combat Infantryman Badge. Esper received a master’s degree in public administration from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard in 1995 and a doctorate in public policy from George Washington University in 2008.
So who are you going to believe, Old Lying Bone Spurs or a decorated veteran with a doctorate degree in public policy? I say Esper is more credible, to the millionth degree. And that’s why I believe what Esper writes in his new book that:
* Trump wanted to launch Cruise missiles into Mexico to destroy drug labs.
* Trump considered having soldiers seize ballot boxes after the 2020 election.
* Trump wanted to deploy 10,000 active-duty troops on the streets of Washington on June 1, 2020, after large protests against police brutality erupted following the police killing of George Floyd. Trump asked Esper about the demonstrators, “Can’t you just shoot them?”
* Trump also listened closely to policy adviser and Nazi doppleganger Stephen Miller’s suggestion to send 250,000 troops to the southern border, claiming that a large caravan of migrants was en route. Esper told Miller and trump that “The U.S. armed forces don’t have 250,000 troops to send to the border for such nonsense.”
* In October 2019, U.S. forces killed Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Miller told trump that the military should cut off al-Baghdadi’s head, dip it in pig’s blood and parade it around to warn other terrorists. Esper gave the thumbs down, calling Miller’s plan a “war crime.”

Trump is proving that he remains insanely popular with his insanely large base as insane Republicans fight for the mantle of “trumpiest” because they know that their only chance at election is to mimic trump’s lies about voter fraud and more. And the polls show that most Republicans would just love to see the bad-haired, overweight, mushroom-shaped winkie trump run and win in 2024.
If trump is reelected in 2024, which seems to be his plan, you ain’t seen nothing yet and sending thousands of troops to the southern border, shooting protesters and parading a terrorist’s head will seem lame in comparison to what trump would have in store for the country.
If he wins, trump will be really, really angry and he has proven to be as vindictive a person as there ever was and one who doesn’t take kindly to people who disagree with him or fail to follow his bidding. He will make McCarthyism look like a walk in the park as he will systematically punish anyone who refused to play the sycophant. Just look at how he has smeared and wounded any Republicans who have not backed his bogus claims of voter fraud in the 2020 election.

Excuse me for sounding like a dystopian alarmist but I am a dystopian alarmist and I predict that if trump loses in 2024, his right wing, freedom-hating, faux Christian, white allies will rally to his cause and project their leader back to the White House through manipulation of electoral totals. Once in office, the man who sees himself anointed by God may eliminate future elections while invoking martial law to stop the destruction planned by his opponents, who will find themselves charged with a variety of trumped up crimes, excuse the pun.
I see a future that provides no federal funding for any liberal causes, like Planned Parenthood, tax revision and the like. I see unchecked financial enrichment by trump and family and friends. I see a waterfall of lies that will make Niagra Falls look like a trickle while uncooperative media are destroyed. I see the elimination of the quaint idea that church and state must remain separate. And I see schools ordered to teach creationism and to avoid any mention of slavery, racism or sex while teachers who don’t cooperate are prosecuted along with anyone who aids a woman in having an abortion.
I see Obamacare cancelled or gutted badly enough to make the public health program about as powerful as a neutered dog. I see environmental protections gone, offshore and on-shore drilling back in full force along with fracking and coal power, air and water quality laws gone, wetlands protections gone, electric cars gone, solar panels gone, windmills gone, endangered species laws gone.
The LGBTQ community will be once again forced into the closets of shame along with same sex marriage. Police powers will get backing like never before with freedom to harass and arrest and search and more, with impunity. Immigrants will be denied any public services, including education for the children of immigrants. The farcical wall on the southern border will be completed, bringing with it astronomical costs and untold environmental destruction.
Trump’s relations with Russia will be reinvigorated while the U.S. withdraws from NATO and plans on record-breaking defense spending, including weaponizing and militarizing space. If there is a confrontation between the U.S. and another nuclear power, god save us all because trump will be utterly unable to lead.
And I see trump naming his lackeys to head all federal agencies, including those that have traditionally been apolitical, such as the Justice Department.
Come to think about it, even if trump chooses not to run, the Republican trump clones looking to take back the White House have most of the same goals of trump, himself, and the overwhelming number of Republicans will be behind anything trump wants. So whether trump is in or not, we lose.
To be fair, trump is the worst president but others have been pretty miserable i their own ways.
Take President James Garfield who once said, “I have a strong feeling of repugnance when I think of the Negro being made our political equal. And I would be glad if they could be colonized, sent to heaven or got rid of in any decent way.”
President Teddy Roosevelt commented, “A perfectly stupid race can never rise to a very high plane; the negro, for instance, has been kept down as much by a lack of intellectual development as much as anything else.”
Or Grover Cleveland, who during his time as sheriff of Erie County, N.Y., personally hung a man who had been convicted of killing his mother.
And President Nixon wanted his nemesis, Washington columnist Jack Anderson, out of the way and suggested he either be poisoned or placed under a huge amount of LSD that was smeared on his steering wheel.
And if you think that trump is the first president to have nutty plan for the country, think again.
In late 1969, Nixon initiated a White House planning group code-named “Duck Hook” that examined the possible use of nuclear weapons against North Vietnam if Hanoi did not agree to U.S. terms at the Paris peace talks.
And in 1959, President Eisenhower was presented with a military plan to set off a nuclear bomb on the moon to prove America’s military might to the Russians.

I see trees of green
Red roses too
I see them bloom
For me and for you
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue
And clouds of white
The bright blessed day
The dark sacred night
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow
So pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces
Of people going by.

I see friends shaking hands
Saying, “How do you do?”
They’re really saying
“I love you.”

I hear babies cry
I watch them grow
They’ll learn much more
Than I’ll ever know
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world.

Yes, I think to myself
What a wonderful world
Ooh yeah.

Not.
